The story takes place in the mind of a child, showing what is possible with the bricks and blocks. At the time, Astro was based in Michigan. A small crew flew to Phoenix, Arizona and drove North past Tuba City into the mountain ranges that you see in the video. The some tasteful color grading plus the perfect scenery created an otherworldly-enough feeling to sell that it took place on another planet.
